Founded 125 years ago in Triberg in the Black Forest, the EGT Group has established itself in four areas: Energy Sales, Energy Networks (electricity, gas and heat), Electrical and Information Technology Building Services and Energy Solutions. The latter division acts as a link between the individual EGT companies with digitalized business processes.

Each division is the responsibility of a wholly owned subsidiary, which is also based in Triberg. As a pioneer in hydroelectric power generation, EGT has been committed to the expansion of environmentally friendly energy sources and their efficient use since its founding – including in-house. In the upcoming rollout of smart metering systems, EGT brings many years of experience in planning, processing, meter installation or the subsequent optimization of process flows in data and market communication.

EWS, which is organized as a cooperative, is fully committed to phasing out nuclear power, protecting the climate, and decentralizing and democratizing the energy industry.
