The Stadtwerk Haßfurt in Lower Franconia has long been driving the energy turnaround with carefully coordinated projects and has thus taken on a beacon status for innovative & regenerative energy supply.

While the town of Haßfurt is quite small with a population of around 16.000, the radiance of the innovative power of this climate-positive municipal utility is imposing. In recent years, up to 110% of Haßfurt’s energy needs have been met by renewable energy generation from wind, photovoltaic, biogas and combined heat and power plants. The smart meter rollout, i.e. the connection of consumer and producer households with digital meters for energy, water and heat, which most municipal utilities are only now beginning to tackle, was also completed for the people of Hassfurt in 2008.

Founded 125 years ago in Triberg in the Black Forest, the EGT Group has established itself in four areas: Energy Sales, Energy Networks (electricity, gas and heat), Electrical and Information Technology Building Services and Energy Solutions. Healthcare Hub Freiburg: Collaborations between Industry 4.0 and Life Sciences – Our goal is to develop marketable solutions for drug production, clinical research, therapy support and other patient solutions.
