Integration of third-party services and content
Our offer sometimes includes content, services and performances of other providers. These are, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube and graphics and images from other websites. In order for this data to be called up and displayed in the user’s browser, the transmission of the IP address is mandatory. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) therefore perceive the IP address of the respective user.
Even though we strive to use only third-party providers that only need the IP address to deliver content, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored. In this case, this process serves statistical purposes, among other things. If we are aware that the IP address is stored, we inform our users of this fact.
This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer from the server. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system and Internet connection. We do not pass this data on to third parties or link it to personal data without your consent.
Cookies fulfill two main tasks. They help us to make it easier for you to navigate through our offer and enable the correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or to launch programs.
Users have the option of accessing our offer without cookies. To do this, the appropriate settings must be changed in the browser. Please use the help function of your browser to find out how to deactivate cookies. However, we would like to point out that this may impair some of the functions of this website and reduce user comfort. Facebook plugins (Like button)
Plugins of the social network Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, USA) are integrated on our pages. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like button” (“Like”) on our page. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.
Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for conversion measurement.
This makes it possible to track the behavior of site visitors after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of the Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.
The collected data is anonymous for us as the operator of this website, we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy. This allows Facebook to enable the placement of advertisements on Facebook pages as well as outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.
You can also deactivate the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function in the Ad Settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged into Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable usage-based advertising from Facebook on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
We use the bookmark service addthis.com on our website. AddThis is a service of Clearspring Technologies Inc, 8000 Westpark Drive, Suite 625, McLean, VA 2210, USA. With each individual call-up of our website that is equipped with such an “AddThis” component, this component causes the browser you are using to download a corresponding representation of the addthis.com component. This process informs addthis.com which specific page of our website you are currently visiting. In addition, addthis.com obtains information about your IP address, browser type, browser language, the website you visited previously, as well as the date and time of your website visit, in order to create anonymized user profiles with this data. This data enables AddThis and its partner companies to target visitors to our website with personalized, interest-based advertising. The advertising material is displayed on the basis of the browser cookie set by addthis.com, which analyzes the usage behavior of the website visitor. You can permanently object to the setting of the addthis.com cookie by downloading and installing the opt-out cookie available at the following link: http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out.
We use the Google advertising tool “Google-Adwords” to advertise our website. As part of this, we use the “Conversion Tracking” analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, on our website. If you have accessed our website via a Google ad, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called “conversion cookies” lose their validity after 30 days and do not serve to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and have been redirected to our site.
The information obtained with the help of the “conversion cookies” is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who clicked on our ad and also which pages of our website were subsequently called up by the respective user. However, we or other advertisers via “Google Adwords” do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.
You can prevent the installation of the “conversion cookies” by setting your browser accordingly, for example by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or specifically blocks only the cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com”.
Collection and disclosure of information:
With the help of the Google +1 button, you can publish information worldwide. Via the Google +1 button, you and other users receive personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the information that you have given +1 for a content and information about the page you were viewing when you clicked +1. Your +1s may be displayed as notices along with your profile name and photo in Google services, such as search results or your Google profile, or elsewhere on websites and ads on the Internet.
Google records information about your +1 activities in order to improve Google services for you and others. To use the Google +1 button, you need a globally visible, public Google profile, which must contain at least the name chosen for the profile. This name is used in all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace another name you used when sharing content through your Google Account. The identity of your Google profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or have other identifying information about you.
Use of Collected Information
Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc, Twitter, Inc. 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. In the process, data is also transmitted to Twitter.
You can change your privacy settings on Twitter in the account settings at http://twitter.com/account/settings.
In accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data economy, we store personal data only for as long as is necessary or required by law (statutory storage period). If the purpose of the collected information ceases to apply or the storage period ends, we block or delete the data.
Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection
You have the right to request information, free of charge, about the personal data stored by us and/or to request correction, blocking or deletion. Exceptions: It is the mandatory data storage for business processing or the data is subject to the legal obligation to retain. For these purposes, please contact us (contact details: under contact details).
In order to be able to consider a data block at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a blocking file for control purposes. If there is no legal archiving obligation, you can also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data if you so wish.
In order to ensure that our data protection declaration always complies with the current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies in the event that the data protection declaration has to be adapted due to new or revised services, for example new services. The new data protection statement will then apply the next time you visit our website.
