Collaboration is at the core of our DNA. The Accelerator was founded as a public-private partnership between the city of Freiburg, the state of Baden-Württemberg and the Grünhof GmbH. The initiation and support of collaborations between our startups and companies are our core competence. Our growing network in the German and international startup ecosystem unites industry, R&D institutions, startup experts, financing actors and politics.
Innovation partners

Together with our corporate partners, we are Germany’s largest dark green energy accelerator. We also support selected industrial companies in producing more sustainably, resource-efficiently and digitally. Startups benefit from concentrated insider expertise, access to customers and markets, and support in rolling out their business model.

Our Accelerator is part of the Start-up BW initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg and is carried out in a public-private partnership between the Ministry of Economics and Affairs Baden-Württemberg, the Economic Development Agency Freiburg (FWTM) and the innovation and startup hub Grünhof.
